As an Eligible Resident, you can apply and (if accepted by Village Management) enter into a Residential Agreement at ECU Village before receiving and accepting an offer to study at Edith Cowan University (ECU Offer) with the knowledge that you can terminate your Residential Agreement with limited liability.
To qualify, you must be an Eligible Resident and enter into a Residential Agreement at ECU Village for the 2017 year commencing 1 February 2017 and:
- Be notified by the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) that you have not received an ECU Offer; or
- Receive an ECU Offer from TISC but elect not to accept the ECU Offer.
The First Year Exemption will not apply where you have accepted an ECU Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies.
You must notify Village Management in writing within 5 working days of you being notified by TISC of you electing not to accept the ECU Offer, as applicable (Resident Notification). If you do not receive an ECU Offer, an ECU Letter of Rejection must be provided.
