Can I move in early?

Our agreements have fixed dates and cannot be amended, however depending on the village it may be possible to book an additional short stay. You will be charged for any additional nights and we advise that you contact your village reception in advance to check that this option is available. You can also submit a request here.

What are my village’s reception's opening hours?

The hours can vary from village to village, however each will have them advertised at their village reception. Outside of these times, we will have a member of our security team on duty who can assist you in the event of an emergency.

What is my village’s phone number?

Your village’s phone number is located on the ‘contact us’ section on our website Just select the village you will be staying in and locate the contact us page in the top right hand corner drop down list to find it.

I haven’t paid my rent yet, can I still move in?

It’s important that your rent is paid on time, particularly any payments required before you move in. First instalments cover the first part of your tenancy.

I’m driving to my village, where can I park to unload?

Parking facilities vary from village to village but during check-in there is generally limited drop off parking available which will be clearly signposted. For more specific information, please call your village directly.

Can my family and friends stay with me after check-in?

It is advised to speak with your village team to find out if this is ok. Although, it is much easier to make friends without Mum and Dad around!

Where do I get my keys?

You can collect your keys from the village reception when you check-in. Come straight to the main reception with your photo ID and everything will be ready and waiting for you.

What happens if I arrive and no one is in the office or I arrive out of hours?

Don’t worry, there is always someone available to assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they’ll be happy to get you your keys and check you in. Please call security – their phone number will be advertised at the village reception, and they will be able to assist you.

I have been given a time slot, what happens if I miss it?

Where possible, please adhere to your allocated time slot. However, should you miss this, you can arrive at the time that is best for you. If this will be out of hours, you can contact a member of the security team by calling the number advertised at the village reception. They will then be able to assist and check you in.

Can I have my post delivered to the village before my arrival?

If you are having anything delivered, especially if it’s a large parcel, we suggest contacting the village team in advance so that they are aware and keep an eye out for you.

Can you store my luggage if I get it delivered to the village before I arrive?

As the village team will be busy preparing the village for all our new arrivals, at this time we will not be able to store luggage for you before your arrival.

Where can I buy items, like bedding, for my room?

You can purchase items for your room from our village shop. Once ordered, all items will be delivered to the village reception ready for you to collect.

Do I need to bring my own bedding, towels and kitchen essentials?

Yes, you will need to bring these items and anything else you feel will make your room homely. We would advise you to bring towels, bedding and sheets, a bath mat, a rug (if you like to add a splash of colour), posters to personalise your walls (white tac only please) and a desk lamp ready for your arrival. As well as a selection of kitchen essentials such as cutlery, glass wear, crockery, cooking pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishcloths, washing up liquid and kitchen towels.

In some of our villages we provide a kettle, microwave and toaster, as well as a vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket, iron and ironing board for each shared flat. You may also want to think about detergent for the washing machine and cleaning products for your room and bathroom. To save you time, and car space, you can always purchase these items from our village shop and they’ll be delivered directly to your village ready for you to collect.

How can I find out who I’ll be living with?

Many of our perspective village residents let each other know what flat they will be living in via our Facebook or Twitter pages. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know each other a little better prior to your arrival.

What time can I move into my village?

You can move in from the start date of your contract. If you have been allocated a timeslot and date, please adhere to this if you can.

How do I connect to the village WiFi?

Your village team will be able to provide you with instructions on how to connect to your village network. This is usually very easy and only takes a few minutes to do.

Do you have a laundry on site?

Yes, all of our villages have laundry facilities on site which are coin or card operated. The village teams will be happy to assist you in learning how to use these.

Can I bring a pet?

Sadly, pets are not allowed at our student villages.

Do you have bicycle storage?

Yes, all of our villages have bicycle spaces available should you wish to bring your bike with you or buy one.

Are my personal belongings insured as part of my agreement?

Yes, we provide contents insurance cover via Endsleigh Insurance Ltd. You can extend this cover once you move in to protect additional items. For additional information, you can ask the village team when you check in who will be happy to help, or you can visit and enter policy number HH1225.
