This beautiful historic building is set on the Victoria University Kelburn campus and is perfectly located for group events, with conference rooms, facilities and fully catered accommodation available for over 300 guests. Only minutes’ walk away from all the University facilities as well as a 15 minute walk into central Wellington and right next to the cable car, this is ideal for school groups, university groups and conference bookings.

Weir House is usually available from mid November until mid February each year, in the summer months, but a range of conference rooms and facilities can also be booked at any time during the year to host groups of up to 60 people.

our bedrooms

We have a variety of bedrooms, including single, twin share and double. They are spacious, light and airy and offer all the amenities you require for a comfortable stay. All rooms include a large desk and chair, wardrobe as well as access to a shared shower and toilet and communal areas on each floor, which includes a kitchenette.

Weir House offers different areas for up to 180 seated (theatre-style) and up to 300 for a standing event. Contact us today for a quote for your conference or event.

There are three TV lounges (one with SKY TV), a fully equipped billiards table and other recreational equipment including table tennis and sports gear available for our guests to use. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Here at Weir House we can cater for all your requirements during your stay with us. The catering team can offer packed lunches, late dinners, tea and coffee breaks and evening functions as well as catering for special dietary requirements.
