Village Rules

The Rules represent part of the Residential Agreement you sign when you take up residence here. They are 74 pieces of regulation that set standards and establish procedures which you’re expected to meet and follow during your time here.

They cover almost every aspect of your life in the Village including:
•Damage or loss
•Parties and special events
•Flat cleaning
•Substance abuse

They are designed for the benefit of everyone here in the Village – they outline both your responsibilities and your rights as a member of our community.

So, if you’re wondering about how to go about dealing with a particular issue, we do recommend you check the Rules through your portal.

All the Rules are to ensure your safety and happiness in the Village. Rules are definitely not made to be broken, and all rules carry consequences if you break them.

However, you should be aware that some have more serious consequences than others – particularly those that affect other residents.

Our priority is the health and safety of all those in the Village, and misuse of safety and security systems will be taken seriously. This includes all of the items below:
•Window Opening Restrictor systems
•All fire protection and prevention systems
•Emergency Lighting systems
•Lifts and associated safety systems
•CCTV, including cameras
•Mains Electrical Protection systems
•Lightning Protection systems
•Any health and safety warning signs across the Village including those associated with the above
•Repeated noise offenses affecting residents and the neighbouring community.

Interfering, tampering or improper use of any of the above will result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
